Nato a Roma (1972) dove vivo e lavoro;
Ho frequentato il I° Liceo artistico di via di Ripetta a Roma, successivamente ho proseguito con studi di Antropologia culturale all’Università La Sapienza per poi occuparmi lavorativamente di web design;
Nel 2018 ho iniziato ad usare l’acquerello en plein air per catturare le impressioni dei miei viaggi e della mia città. Nel corso degli anni ho portato avanti una produzione di paesaggi tipica di questo medium;
Nel 2023 ho rotto gli indugi in favore di una produzione in cui il tema, il soggetto, abbia lo stesso peso della sua rappresentazione, alla ricerca di un ideale bilanciamento tra estetica e tematica. Questo mi ha permesso di dare sfogo a quella parte del mio carattere che è universale curiosità e necessità di sperimentare soluzioni nuove rispetto a quanto fatto in campo artistico fino ad ora.
Nel 2024 un mio lavoro “Orfeo ucciso dalle baccanti #2” è stato selezionato come finalista per il premio Fondazione Amedeo Modigliani.

Sono interessato alle espressioni del mito e voglio indagare il rapporto tra il suo significato e la rappresentazione che se ne è fatta.
Il mito greco su cui mi sto concentrando è quello che ha fornito più spunti alla storia dell’arte occidentale. In esso si incontrano testimonianze di fatti storici, trasposizioni di racconti di altre terre, spiegazioni allegoriche dei fenomeni naturali, ma soprattutto, espressioni simboliche delle strutture profonde della psiche.
In quest’ultimo aspetto il mito greco esprime istanze universali, perché al di là della forma e dei personaggi, troviamo i suoi temi principali diffusi ed espressi ovunque.
Realizzo opere in mixed media, prevalentemente acquerello e acrilico, sempre pronto ad incorporare medium adatti alla singola opera.
L‘acquarello è la mia tecnica preferita, quella con cui ho iniziato a dipingere e che amo per la sua versatilità e praticità. I colori acrilici con la loro consistenza si confrontano con la leggerezza dell’acquerello. Soprattutto cerco di sperimentare con altri materiali, che possano aggiungere un tocco estetico e significativo alla singola opera. Questi materiali, nel tempo, stanno costituendo una sorta di dizionario privato dove, ad esempio, l’alluminio è sempre arma o utensile, luna o roccia; così come l’acqua o i tessuti sono sempre in carta da lucido. Questo dizionario privato stabilisce di suo altre relazioni simboliche tra la tecnica ed i materiali utilizzati ed il soggetto del mito rappresentato.
Libero dalle pastoie del genere, oggi esprimo questi temi e queste impressioni con la libertà e l’eclettismo che mi sono propri.

I am interested in the expressions of myth and I want to investigate the relationship between its meaning and its representation.
The Greek myth on which I am focusing is the one that has provided the most inspiration to the history of Western art. In it we find evidence of historical events, transpositions of stories from other lands, allegorical explanations of natural phenomena, but above all, symbolic expressions of the deep structures of the psyche.
In this last aspect, the Greek myth expresses universal instances, because beyond the form and the characters, we find its main themes widespread and expressed everywhere.
I create mixed media works, mainly watercolor and acrylic, always ready to incorporate media suitable for the individual work.
Watercolor is my favorite technique, the one with which I started painting and which I love for its versatility and practicality. Acrylic colors with their consistency confront the lightness of watercolor. Above all, I experiment with other materials, which can add an aesthetic and significant touch to the individual work. These materials, over time, are forming a sort of private dictionary where, for example, aluminum is always a weapon or a tool, moon or rock; just as water or fabrics are always in tracing paper. This private dictionary establishes other symbolic relationships between the technique and materials used and the subject of the represented myth.
In 2018 I started using watercolor en plein air to capture the impressions of my travels and my city. Over the years I have carried out a production of landscapes typical of this medium.
In 2023 I broke the delay in favor of a production in which the theme, the subject, has the same weight as its representation, in search of an ideal balance between aesthetics and theme. This has allowed me to give vent to that part of my character which is universal curiosity and the need to experiment with new solutions compared to what has been done in the artistic field up to now.
Free from the constraints of the genre, today I express these themes and impressions with the freedom and eclecticism that are my own.
